Κinoniko EKAV relies on a large and diverse team!
Friday 25th September. Six children from the Unaccompanied Minors' Shelter "Nefeli 1" visit the temple of Poseidon in Sounio. The enthusiasm of the children is indescribable. They are impressed by the temple, the nature, the enchanting landscape, they constantly ask questions and are also impressed by the mythological stories they learn on the spot. They take photos and enjoy the moment until it is time to go back home.
A preventive examination for coronavirus was performed on Thursday, September 3rd, at the Unaccompanied Minors Structure "Nefeli 1" of the Kinoniko EKAV, located in Piraeus.
It was with great emotion that we said goodbye last week to an extraordinary child from Afghanistan who left the Minors Structure Nefeli 2 to be reunited with his family in Germany.
The sports goods’ company Cosmos Sport, carried out a moving act of solidarity, donating football shoes for the children hosted in the Structures of the Kinoniko EKAV in Athens!

The COVID pandemic constitutes a difficult challenge to the accommodation structures of unaccompanied minor refugee children. The necessary restriction of dozens of children and adolescents within the structure, while activities are reduced, easily causes difficult situations on a psychological level, but also health risks. We have faced these challenges in a dynamic way.
