KinonikoEKAV in Naples for EmpowerHer
In June 2025KinonikoEKAV traveled to the capital of Southern Italy, Naples, to meet with representatives from the four other organizations participating in the EmpowerHer project, officially marking the launch of the two-year European initiative.

During the two-day meeting hosted by the Italian project coordinator Project Ahead, all five project partners had the opportunity to thoroughly discuss the management and implementation strategy, but most importantly, the educational empowerment activities for women survivors of human trafficking. These activities include language classes, communication skills, and civic education courses aimed at helping beneficiaries gain independence and prepare for employment opportunities during the final phase of the project. Our key objective: the social integration of these women.
KinonikoEKAV is actively participating in all EmpowerHer activities, focusing particularly on research work that will map the human trafficking phenomenon in Greece, including the stakeholders and existing support infrastructure for victims.

Maria Dimitropoulou, General Director of KinonikoEKAV, presented the identity and core mission of the organization to the partners, as well as various programs and actions we have implemented so far.

Our trip to the lively “vera Italiana” gave us the chance to exchange valuable experiences on the management and execution of European projects and to discuss the multiple facets of human trafficking in the partner countries — Greece, Italy, and Spain.
